Canada Express Entry Transport Draw Invites 150 Candidates at CRS 477 on October 28, 2026
October 29, 2026 | Lifeline Immigration
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held Express Entry round #453 on October 28, 2026, inviting 150 eligible candidates in the Transport Occupations category to apply for permanent residence. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the lowest-ranked invited candidate was 477, according to IRCC’s official rounds dataset.
How the latest transport draw compares
The previous Transport Occupations round, #434 on August 7, issued 300 invitations at CRS 470. The October 28 round issued 150 fewer invitations and had a CRS cut-off seven points higher. These results apply to the transport category, not to every Express Entry candidate. Past draw scores cannot predict future invitation thresholds.
Who may qualify for the transport category?
IRCC requires at least 12 months of full-time work experience, or equivalent part-time experience, gained within the past three years in a single listed transport occupation. The experience may be in Canada or abroad and does not need to be continuous. Applicants must also qualify for one of the Express Entry-managed programs and meet the instructions for the specific round.
IRCC currently lists four transport occupation groups: aircraft mechanics and aircraft inspectors (NOC 72404); air pilots, flight engineers and flying instructors (NOC 72600); aircraft instrument, electrical and avionics mechanics, technicians and inspectors (NOC 22313); and automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics, and mechanical repairers (NOC 72410). A job in transportation does not automatically qualify; the applicable NOC and duties matter.
Tie-breaking rule for CRS 477
IRCC’s published tie-breaking timestamp for round #453 was June 4, 2026 at 21:48:22 UTC. Where eligible candidates shared the lowest invited CRS score, the date and time their Express Entry profiles were submitted determined priority. Having a CRS score of 477 or higher does not, by itself, confirm that a candidate received an invitation.
What applicants should do next
Candidates should check their IRCC account directly for an invitation and review their work history, NOC classification, language results and program eligibility. Invited candidates generally have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence application. Receiving an invitation is not a guarantee of permanent residence; IRCC still assesses eligibility and admissibility.
IRCC has separately announced Express Entry scoring and job-offer changes effective November 3, 2026. These upcoming changes should not be confused with the results or eligibility criteria of the October 28 transport round.
