Canada Express Entry PNP Draw Issues 792 Invitations at CRS 761 on October 26, 2026

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held Express Entry round #451 on October 26, 2026, issuing 792 invitations to apply for permanent residence to Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates. The lowest-ranked candidate invited had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 761, according to IRCC’s official rounds dataset.

How the PNP round compares

The preceding PNP-specific Express Entry round, #448 on October 13, issued 752 invitations at CRS 772. The October 26 round therefore invited 40 more candidates, with a cut-off 11 points lower. These figures describe PNP-specific selections; they are not general Express Entry thresholds.

Why the CRS cut-off is high

Candidates with an accepted nomination under an Express Entry-aligned provincial or territorial program receive additional CRS points. PNP-specific rounds select candidates eligible for that program, so their CRS cut-offs should not be compared directly with French-language or Canadian Experience Class invitation rounds.

Tie-breaking rule

IRCC’s official record for round #451 lists April 3, 2026 at 18:00:26 UTC as the tie-breaking timestamp. When multiple eligible candidates share the lowest invited score, IRCC uses the date and time their Express Entry profiles were submitted to determine priority.

What applicants should do

Candidates with provincial nominations should verify that their nomination and Express Entry profile information remain accurate and check their IRCC account for any invitation. An invitation is not a grant of permanent residence. IRCC states that invited candidates have 60 days to submit a complete application, and eligibility and admissibility are still assessed.

The PNP round was followed on October 27 by a separate French-language proficiency draw of 5,000 invitations at CRS 407. Those candidates were selected under different eligibility criteria; the scores are not interchangeable.
