Newfoundland and Labrador Issues 131 Immigration Invitations on October 9, 2026
The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador issued 131 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in its October 9, 2026 immigration selection round. The province's official results show 130 invitations through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and one through the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
October 9 invitation results
The provincial Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism recorded 130 NLPNP invitations and one AIP invitation, for a combined total of 131. These figures describe invitations to submit applications, not approvals for provincial nomination or Canadian permanent residence.
How Newfoundland and Labrador selects candidates
Since February 19, 2025, the province has used an Expression of Interest (EOI) model for economic immigration applications. Candidates submit an EOI, and the province periodically selects candidates based on its prioritization criteria. Only selected candidates receive an Invitation to Apply.
What invited applicants should do
The provincial EOI guidance says invited candidates have 30 days to submit a complete application, a temporarily reduced submission window as the province approaches year-end. Applicants should check their official Immigration Accelerator account, invitation instructions, and the current provincial program requirements before submitting. An invitation does not guarantee nomination or permanent residence.
