Newfoundland and Labrador issued 97 Invitations to Apply through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) on September 4, 2026, according to the province’s official immigration invitation table.

The September 4 entry lists all 97 invitations under the NLPNP. No Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) invitations are listed for this round.

What Happened in the September 4 Round

The province’s Office of Immigration and Multiculturalism uses an Expression of Interest model for economic immigration applications and issues Invitations to Apply in batches throughout the year.

For September 4, 2026, the official table records:

• 97 Invitations to Apply
• Program: Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP)
• Atlantic Immigration Program invitations listed: 0

The previous published round took place on August 26, 2026 and issued 140 invitations: 94 through the NLPNP and 46 through the AIP.

What This Means for Applicants

An Invitation to Apply from Newfoundland and Labrador is not the same as permanent residence approval. Invited candidates must still submit the required provincial application, meet the applicable program criteria and, where required, complete the federal permanent residence process.

Applicants should also avoid assuming that a recent invitation round predicts the size, timing or selection priorities of future rounds. Provincial selections can change based on labour-market needs, application volumes, nomination allocations and program priorities.
