Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held a category-based Express Entry round on September 4, 2026 for candidates in healthcare and social services occupations. Current reporting states that 3,500 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates with a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 475.

Why This Draw Matters
Category-based selection allows IRCC to invite Express Entry candidates who have work experience or other attributes aligned with identified economic priorities. Healthcare and social services remain among the occupational categories identified by IRCC for 2026.
A CRS cut-off in one round should not be treated as a prediction of future invitation thresholds. Draw sizes, categories, CRS scores and timing can change from round to round based on IRCC's invitation strategy and the profiles available in the Express Entry pool.
What Applicants Should Do
