A total of 5,991 Invitations to Apply were issued across four draws held in November 2025, covering the Provincial Nominee Program, Canadian Experience Class, and Healthcare category. This week spotlights the new CEC Express Entry Draw on November 26 and the latest Express Entry Draw on November 25 for PR invites. Also, for this week, are news on the Statistics Canada Jobs urgent and massive hiring for the upcoming census, an update on immigration processing times, and the latest massive French-focused express entry draw for PR!

November 26 express entry draw targets Canadian Experience Class for 1,000 ITAs

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued its sixth Express Entry Draw on November 26, 2025, prioritizing candidates already in Canada, immersed in its labour sector and contributing to its economy.
The cutoff for this CEC-specific round was 699. Only those with CRS scores at or above 699 were issued 1,000 invitations to apply. Candidates with a CRS score around 531-535 have the advantage of being likely recipients for upcoming CEC draws, considering that Canada continues to favour local talent.
On the heels of this recent draw, a category-based selection for French-speaking candidates is expected this week.
The aforementioned category draws considerably lower CRS requirements for eligible recipients, providing an alternative recourse for many. IRCC uses a timestamp to give precedence to those who submitted their profiles earlier, as there may be multiple candidates with the same cutoff scores.
Candidates with scores below 531 can increase their chances by achieving better language scores, enhancing Canadian work experience, pursuing higher education, or availing themselves of a provincial nomination. A provincial nomination secures 600 points for an applicant, assuring a future invitation. It is also important to keep all profile information and documents up to date, as obsolete personal data can result in loss of points.

777 are invited for PR in the November 25 Express Entry draw

Canada recently issued on November 25, 2025, 777 invitations to apply for permanent residency under the Provincial Nominee Program, evidencing selection directions after the launch of the Immigration Levels Plan 2026-2028.

The recent trends show a significant number of provincial nominations, bigger draws, and a remarkably lower CRS cutoff, with the latest round emphasizing the government’s renewed focus on provincial pathways toward 2026.

Statistics Canada Jobs hiring for 77 locations for Census 2026 in Ontario

Census 2026 will need a huge workforce to keep up with administrative organization, recruitment, field operations, data gathering, and payroll. Consequently, recruitment is now underway for various Statistics Canada jobs in 77 different locations in Ontario.
Such positions do not require a high degree or extensive professional background, namely the Field Operations Supervisors, Pay Clerks, and Recruitment Clerks. Aside from competitive pay, these roles have flexible work schedules and significant opportunities for the province’s constituents across remote sectors, urban and rural areas.

Canada updates immigration processing times for November 2025

How long must one wait to obtain permanent residency or citizenship, commence studies, begin work under skilled programs, or finally bring family members to the country? These queries are answered by the guidelines for processing times recently revamped by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
These updates are important inputs for applicants to make informed decisions about their immigration pathway – whether it’s for citizenship, permanent residency, work permit, study permit, or visa.
Currently, citizenship and permanent residency timelines are refreshed monthly, while temporary visa, PR card, and permit processing times are revised weekly.
IRCC’s estimates do not reflect reality, however. The speed at which applications can be processed depends on the IRCC’s operational load, case level of difficulty, country of application, and background checks.

Latest French-focused Express Entry draw invites 6,000 for PR

Six thousand (6,000) invitations were issued by the IRCC just recently on November 28, 2025, favouring candidates proficient in the French language. The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of the lowest-ranked invited is 408, which is the second-lowest cutoff in 2025 in the French language proficiency (Version 1) category.

This is another immigration trend in Canada geared to improve francophone relocation outside Quebec, consistent with the country’s new multi-year immigration plan, underscoring the need to increase population in the region and to address labour market demands.
